I’ve been eating here for last 5-6 years now and I get excited when I think about hula boy for lunch. And usually offer to my coworkers and they all get excited to order something... All the reviews saying negative things about this place probably don’t season their chicken and eat their Frosted Flakes damp... like if you don’t like something ask or try something new and ask the waiters what they recommend. I asked the owner what he recommended me and he said the chicken rice plate and than he also said put some teriyaki sauce into the mac salad and I’ve been buying their 32 oz containers of Mac salad and a bottle of a teriyaki sauce and I eat it as a snack after work ever since.
Located in the Evergreen Station shopping center. This super casual hole in the wall Hawaiian BBQ experience is definitely a must-have if you're wanting Hawaiian Char-Broil BBQ. Generous portions, quality food and outstanding customer service. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back frequently. One tip I can offer you is if you're able to get in a little early for lunch. We arrive at 11:45 we were able to get a table. There was a line out the door by the time we left.
The food is on another level. The taste texture and authenticity are above and beyond. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing for how busy they can be. The price is spot on and the portions are fairly large. Overall I fully recommend trying hula boy for some Hawaiian food perfection.
Good service, amazing food. I enjoy eating out but have some reservations, especially about freshness. The food was fresh, the little fruit side salad was excellent. It's a small detail, but I've never been anywhere where the fruit bowl was perfect. So it really had an effect on my overall impression. The sauces are yummy.
Amazing food! This place was very busy and yet provided great service! Take out orders were non-stop, like a revolving door. Food was hot and large portions! Highly recommend going and trying for yourself.
One of my favorite Hawaiian restaurants! My wife and I share a combo meal. With an extra scoop of Mac salad and it feeds us fine! Their Caribbean jerk sauce at every table has just the right heat to it! If you are adventurous try the spam, hot dog and linguica meal. Fire fire!
I really like this place a lot. I ordered over the phone and there was a lot of static, probably on my end, speaker phone while driving. When I got there they only heard half my order but rushed to get me the other half. The food is always amazing and the service is great. Highly recommended!
HUGE portions!!! Very nice and friendly staff and the prices are not crazy at all - you honestly get a lot of food for whatever you order. Very yummy combination platters and enjoyed that kimchi was a fun side!
